If you don't find the answer to your question please feel free to contact us
Q: Who can ride on our jet ski safaris?
A: You must be 16 years of age to ride by yourself – id is required & if under 18years we also need a guardians signature on the paperwork.
Passengers must be at least 120cm tall.
Q: Do we need experience to ride with Surfers Paradise Jet Ski Adventures?
A: No – we provide a full safety briefing, on water practical demonstration & plenty of time to get used to it.
Q: Where do we go?
A: We leave from the centre of Surfers Paradise – Appel Park Wharf, 10 Ferny Ave, Surfers Paradise, & head out through the canals, past the Marina. A half hour adventure will usually take you somewhere around Wave Break Island (depending on ability), the 1 hour heads up on the broadwater side of South Stradbroke Island, & the 2 hour will take you to on extreme jet ski hire to the tip of North Stradbroke Island.
Q: Do we go out into the ocean?
A: No – our adventures are run on the broadwater so you don't have to worry about choppy sea conditions ruining your ride. However, there's still plenty of action to be had where we go.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: A sense of adventure & fun is the number one thing. Also some identification. Besides that it's a good idea to put some sun screen on. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet. We provide the lifejackets but you will need to wear a pair of shorts, and sunglasses are a good idea (but make sure they're not expensive – you dont want the river to look glamerous with your glasses on the bottom – we do sell them for $5 if you need them.
Q: What do I wear?
A: You must wear shorts or pants of some description. Shoes are optional – they will probably get wet – no stilhettos – the fibreglass floor doesn't like them. The top is up to you – we provide the lifejacket. Religous/cultural clothing is not a problem – as long as you clear vision & don't mind getting wet.
Q: What about a lifejacket?
A: We'll provide one that correctly fits.
Q: Can I bring a phone or camera??
A: Have you ever seen a mobile phone or camera full of water – they don't work very well, so we advise strongly against it & take no responsibility for any damage.
Q: Do I need to be able to swim?
A: We provide a life jacket so you don't need to be a good swimmer, but you do need to be able to float if you end up in the water.
Q: Will I fall in?
A: This will depend on how you ride. Most of our customers do not end up in the water, but you probably will still get wet.
Q: How can I pay?
A: We take cash , direct deposit, visa card, mastercard or eftpos. Please note we do need payment to secure your booking?
Q: What if I cancel?
A: If you cancel within 12 -24 hours & we are unable to fill your spot, we do not refund – we will however, offer you an alternative time. If you do not show up for your allotted time & have not notified us you will lose the entire amount.
Q: What if i'm running late?
A: Our jet ski adventures are very popular & we only have limited spaces available – therefore you need to make sure you allow plenty of time so that you are not late. Just like a plane – the ride will leave without you & there will be no refund if you show up late.
Q: What if it's raining?
A: We still ride in the rain (you're going to get wet anyway), but won't ride if the conditions are not suitable for a safe ride eg poor visibility.
